We are pleased to inform you that in the short time since the Eurasia Center was founded, thanks to the work of the Center and the active participation of its researchers in national and international life, a new milestone has been reached in the life of our institution.

Semanur started her studies at the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences at Yalova University, majoring in International Relations. During her studies, she gained practical experience in scientific field as an intern in the Scientific Research Projects Department of the Rectorate of Yalova University and graduated with honors in 2019. During her studies, she conducted in-depth research.
In 2021, Semanur was accepted to the Master’s Program in Eurasian Studies at Niğde Ömer Halisdemir University, where she is currently studying. The topic of Semanur’s thesis is “The Importance of Central Asia in China’s Belt and Road Project”.
From the first of September 2023, within the framework of the international internship program Erasmus+ Student Mobility for Internships, we are welcoming our first foreign intern, Semanur Öncü, who came to us from Türkiye to spend her internship period acquired abroad for her studies at the Eurasia Center. We are confident that with our professional experience in understanding geopolitics and world affairs, we can successfully contribute to Semanur’s academic and professional development, which spans over ten months.
